ELA = Tuesday, Reading = Wednesday

To help our students maintain an academic routine that does not lead to overlapping schedules, the 8th Grade has created a calendar.

ELA will be the focus on Tuesdays

My reading classes will be the focus on Wednesday

Any ZOOM or video conferencing will occur during this timeframe.

I will make recordings of lessons available outside this timeframe also, and am available for one-on-one conferencing at other times.

Save the World (or some of it) by Social Distancing

Just got a reminder from the school nurse that she asked be passed on to you all:

Please help remind students that while schools are closed, they need to be social distancing (that includes play dates…) and with the amount of cases we have in the area, everyone should be self-monitoring for symptoms. Please share this link with your class:  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/ and https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/index.html.

Take care!

Remote Classroom/Online Learning

Dear Students (and Parents)–

Assignments for this week are posted on the pages for each subject, ELA and Reading.

I will be sending Remind notices when I post lessons. I will answering emails and responding to Reminds at least twice daily. As some of the platforms we will be using are new, we will be learning together.  I look forward to creating an online community during this unusual time.

I will be updating this blog later in the week as we know more about the length of time that we will be outside of the physical school.
